With the fast-paced world we live in today, we like to slow down occasionally and celebrate our small successes. With the first year of the Hartman House’s opening in our rearview mirror, we wanted to take this time to step back and rejoice in this year’s successes with our supporters and appreciate you all for cheering us on along the way.
To help us make a bigger impact in the lives of those we serve, please donate to our Network for Good Campaign and share our cause with your social network.
Achievements
In the first half of 2023, we have served over 75 individuals through the SCHC HOPE Medical Respite Program. This equals almost 1.5K nights spent off the street and over 5.5K meals provided!
We have had three individuals move into supportive housing: two through Promise Homes (no website) and one through FaithWorks! One individual entered a residential Drug and Alcohol Treatment Center after respite. Over 25 individuals were enrolled in a case management program upon exit just this year!
Two previous HOPE Medical Respite patients joined the Pathways to Housing team: one as a staff member and the other as a volunteer… Thank you both for joining – and welcome!

South Market Micro Shelter Community
We want to thank United Way for partnering with us so we may support residents of the South Market Micro Shelter Community (MSC) through case management services and dinner daily. We look forward to seeing how the MSC grows in the years to come!
Thank you as well to Shasta Thrive for continuing to spread the word about developments at the MSC. Your support helps bring awareness to the community about supportive housing and how important it is to have resources like this available for our unhoused neighbors.

Summer Fun
We love summer because that means it’s time to barbecue! This summer, we’ve enjoyed hosting backyard cookouts at the Hartman House with patients and partners of the SCHC HOPE Medical Respite Program for Memorial Day and Fourth of July.
A Word From Those We Serve

You guys allow me to make changes in my life. Thank you for everything you [do] allowing me to grow. I just want to say how much I love this place. The staff here is great. Everyone always says great things about me and everyone else. Thank you and keep up the good work.” – Tony
